How much does a listing cost?
A standard listing is free if your website links back to movesandiego.org. A featured listing, which also appears on the homepage, is $10 per month with no contract.
What is the reciprocal link requirement?
Free listings require a normal, visible link to movesandiego.org from a public page on your own website. When you submit, we fetch that page and look for the link. If your site blocks automated visits or builds its pages with JavaScript, we cannot read it from our end, so the submission still goes through and we check the link by hand during review.
How long does approval take?
Usually one to two business days. Every submission is reviewed by a person. You will get an email as soon as your listing is live.
What happens after I pay for a featured listing?
You add your business name, description, phone and address, then your listing goes live on the homepage as soon as it clears review.
Can I cancel a featured listing?
Yes, any time - email hello@movesandiego.org and we will cancel the subscription. You are billed monthly, so cancelling stops the next charge.
What if my listing is rejected?
If we cannot approve a paid listing we cancel the subscription and refund the charge. For free listings, we email you the reason so you can fix it and try again.
Can I edit my listing later?
Email hello@movesandiego.org with the change and we will update it.
What kind of businesses can be listed?
Any legitimate business based in or actively serving San Diego County. We do not list adult services, multi-level marketing schemes, payday lenders, or anything requiring a license the business does not hold.
Do you write reviews or rank businesses?
No. Listings are shown newest first, with featured businesses in a clearly marked strip at the top of the homepage.
How do I get my listing removed?
Email hello@movesandiego.org from any address associated with the business and we will remove it, usually same day.
